Abstract

Voor het oplossen van complexe vraagstukken zijn vele invalshoeken nodig, maar een confrontatie met andersdenkenden is niet alleen maar creatief, leuk en verrijkend. Inclusie gaat over meedoen. Over het aangaan van wezenlijke relaties met vreemden. Over diversiteit. Over cocreatie. Dat hebben we nodig want we wonen en werken samen met mensen uit allerlei culturen en met allerlei achtergronden. Het maakt inclusie, goed omgaan met macht en verschil, een van de grootste uitdagingen van deze tijd. Samenwerkingen stranden door verschillende organisatieculturen. Conflicten ontstaan doordat we elkaar niet begrijpen. Mensen worden uitgesloten vanwege hun kleur, geloofsovertuiging, leeftijd of seksuele geaardheid. Inclusie is een hot topic. Het gaat over wie wat beslist, wie zich aan wie moet aanpassen, over wat we wel en niet normaal vinden. Over wie mee mag doen en wie vooral niet. Het zijn onderwerpen waar we niet licht en opgewekt over spreken met elkaar. We hebben een energieke taal nodig om onderlinge pijnpunten te benoemen, zonder dat iedereen meteen op zijn achterste benen staat. Die taal vind je in dit boek.
